Education for Life

Resource

Students at Cambridge Christian School who need assistance in certain areas are referred to our Resource Department.

At present we have a qualified Special Education Resource Teacher and a part-time Educational Assistant. Students participate in the Resource Program through teacher and/or parental referrals. An Individual Education Plan is made for students who require it and are reassessed regularly. Every attempt is made to ensure good communication between parents and the resource department by way of interviews and written reports. Students can be referred to the Region of Waterloo Community Access Care Centre (CACC) for speech, occupational therapy, or physiotherapy, if needed. A qualified therapist may come to the school and work with the student during school hours.

For me, Cambridge Christian School has been an extremely positive experience and has helped me to grow in many ways. From as young as I can remember I was memorizing Bible verses, studying God's Word, and learning and thinking about a Christian perspective in every subject. We were challenged to apply what we learned from scripture to our everyday lives. I learned that God is everywhere from Ancient Greece, to geographic landmarks, from government to science, to mathematics, music, and physical education. I am thankful for committed, godly teachers who encouraged me and loved me, allowing me to grow in my relationship with Christ.
