At Cambridge Christian School, we are blessed with a diverse student body. Our families come from a variety of denominational backgrounds and attend over 30 different congregations in Cambridge and the surrounding area. We value this diversity and believe that it deepens each child’s education as they learn from and alongside each other.
At Cambridge Christian School, we seek to encourage a positive, respectful, and caring Christian character within our student body as we seek to nurture disciples of Christ. We expect that families who enroll at CCS will be actively encouraging their children to speak truthfully, own mistakes and learn from them, exercise self-control, and display the fruits of the Spirit. As families journeys with us in community at CCS, we aim to assist them in a pursuit of equipping their children to become Christ-centred thinkers, communicators and worshippers. Walking alongside and providing positive reinforcement to our students as they interact within our school community is one of our tasks as Christian educators. We are thankful to partner with Christian families who are striving to teach Christ-like character at home which we can help reinforce at school. We love the families in our school community, and we are thankful for the opportunity to be a mutual benefit to each other.
To enroll a child, parents need to show a sincere interest in the Mission and Vision Statement of Cambridge Christian School and a desire that their child receive a Christian education.
Student enrollment is based on the Christian commitment of the parent(s) as demonstrated by active participation in a Christian church. The parent(s) must be attending members in good standing of a Christian church whose doctrines are based on the Bible alone. Children being considered for Grades 1 through 8 will normally be tested by our Student Support Services, who will advise the principal regarding grade placement.
We are an independent, non-profit, Christian elementary school that relies entirely on tuition fees, donations, fundraising, and Society Membership fees to meet the operating costs of the school. We do not receive government funding. Our family rate tuition fee is reviewed and set by the Board of Directors and approved by the Society Membership at the annual spring meeting.
We provide a discount to new families for their first year of tuition if they register before May 31. We also provide a discount for families who are paying tuition for Christian High School and/or Christian post-secondary school. A tuition assistance program is available for families who apply and qualify.
Additionally, as a non-profit organization, Cambridge Christian School is a registered charity, and parents are able to claim a portion of tuition, depending upon the number of children enrolled and the cost per student, as a charitable donation on their tax return.
